Police arrest repeat black offender in West Philly murder

"Police have arrested a West Philadelphia man in last month's gun slaying of a West Powelton man.

Munir Pankery, 21, of Locust Street near 60th, was arrested yesterday for murder and related offenses for the Dec. 28 death of Anthony Hinds, 42, of 43rd Street near Fairmount Avenue, said Officer Leeloni Palmiero, a police spokeswoman."

"A Miami teen has been arrested for fatally shooting 10-year-old Aaron Vu during an armed robbery Friday at Vu's father's nail salon.

Anthawn Ragan, Jr. was found hiding out at his sister's Liberty City duplex on Tuesday, his 19th birthday, thanks to information from a source who wishes to remain anonymous, according to an arrest affidavit by Miami-Dade Police."

Black Suspect Charged With Murder In SC Campus Shooting

"ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — A suspect was arrested early Saturday in the fatal shooting of a student outside a dormitory at South Carolina State University, law enforcement officials said.

Justin Bernard Singleton, 19, of Charleston, was charged with murder in the death of 20-year-old Brandon Robinson (pictured above), the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said in a news release."

LA - Six Black Subjects Arrested in Connection with November Murder in Reserve

"Lionel Labranche, 23, of Houma Drive in LaPlace was arrested on 1/13/14. He was booked with second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond is $450,150. Labranche was arrested 30 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since October 2007.

Samuel Covington III, 20, of Taffy Street in Kenner was arrested 1/14/14. He was booked with principal to second-degree murder. His bond has not been set. Covington had no prior arrest in St. John the Baptist Parish.

Jerry Weber, 21, of Camelia Avenue in LaPlace was arrested 12/18/13. He was booked with principal to obstruction of justice. He was released on $250 cash on a $2500 bond. Weber was arrested 7 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since September 2010.

Demario Gray, 27, of East 14th Street in Reserve was arrested 12/24/13. He was booked with obstruction of justice-simple assault. His bond was $12,000. He bonded out of jail on a commercial bond. Gray was arrested 14 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since December 2003.

Terrell Noel, 25, of Reserve was arrested 11/27/13 on unrelated outstanding warrants and remains in custody. He will be booked with obstruction of justice and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Noel was arrested 28 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since May 2006.

Kenyatta Miller, 26, of Jasper Lane in LaPlace was arrested on 1/15/2014 on an outstanding judicial court ordered arrest warrant for attempted obstruction of justice in connection with the murder of Cardell Cosey. Miller was arrested 24 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since November 2007."

"Rashawn Jones, 20, Tyrese Watkins, 17, and unnamed 16 and 15-year-old juveniles were arrested recently on charges of robbery by sudden snatching, according to a news release from the Gwinnett County Police Department. Brown, Watkins and the juvenile also face armed robbery charges."
